Airfield Construction Branch Associations

RAF AIRFIELD CONSTRUCTION OFFICERS’ ASSOCIATION

Formed in 1946 with over 400 members to ensure the continuance of the comradeship formed within the Airfield Construction Service (ACS) during WWII, the Association continued to function strongly in the post war years, when the ACS was fully integrated into the RAF as the Airfield Construction Branch in 1948 and also after the disbandment of the Branch on 1st April 1966. With declining membership and the advancing age of the remaining members making attendance at functions difficult, it was decided to disband the Association on 31st December 2017.
